We can see Tulsi plant in most of the people’s homes. But in many houses the statement of its leaves turning black is seen. Reports say that if this plant is not taken proper care of, its leaves turn black. In the beginning of blackening of leaves, you will see only a few leaves blackening but later the entire plant will turn black. Today we will tell you how you can avoid this problem.

Infestation of insects in plants is one of the reasons why basil leaves turn black. You can’t see these insects. Because these can be present in the soil also, due to this the basil leaves also turn black. The lower leaves turn black first. Therefore, if you see such a change in the leaves, then prepare homemade insecticide and apply it on the plant. These insects will die in time. After this remove black leaves from the plants.  

Water can also be a reason for blackening of basil leaves. Lack or excess of water also harms the plant, due to which the leaves become weak and turn black. For this, you should keep in mind that the Tulsi plant should not be watered in excess. Add as much water to the soil as will make the soil light.

The roots become wet due to excessive watering

Actually, by giving excess water its roots become wet and start rotting. The plant gradually starts turning yellow and later its leaves start turning black. Therefore, you can see the moisture in the soil with the help of your fingers. If the finger goes into the soil easily then do not water.
